Fishing has bee slow in the Lower Laguna Madre. Plenty of undersize specks, but keepers have been tough to come by. Redfish have been seen in skinny water on warm days, but haven't been willing to eat most days. The most consistent action has been sheepshead around the causeways, mangrove snapper up the Ship Channel and black drum along the channel edges.
