Fishing has been steadily improving in the Lower Laguna Madre. Good catches of solid specks have been reported around Three Islands, in South Cullen, near Stover's and in LV Cove. DOA Shrimp, TTF Trout Killers and Brown Devil Eyes have been the best baits. Redfish have been a bit less consistent, but some decent catches of reds have been taken off Gas Wells and behind the ICW spoil islands. Mangrove snapper and sheepshead have been consistent in the Brownsville Ship Channel.
