Captain Ernest Cisneros–the South Texas Snook King–joins us today to talk about spring fishing down in the lower Laguna Madre. Listen in as Ernest shares tips on following birds, working artificials and selecting what color to use.
Lately Ernest has been using Pumpkinseed and Plumtreuse soft plastic tails with an 1/8 oz jig head. He works them along the potholes and shells on the bottom where the speckled trout are lying this time of year. Ernest–who is also a science teacher–has a lot of great fishing information to share, and likes to help people learn more about fishing.

Mr Cisneros, I’m from the houston area.I was wondering if there was any available opportunities that I would be able to wade-fish with you on Friday or Saturday 26-27. Please let me know if you can.
