Capt. Forrester Report 8-14-09 Through 8-16-09

8-16-09Started off friday night with a 1/4 moon wade with clients Matt Velasquez and Nick out of Houston, Tx. First half of the night the wind was blowing pretty hard, but it followed the forcast and dropped down to about 5 mph at 3:00 am. It was then when I thought they were going to turn on, well they turned on for about 20 minutes and turned back off, just enough to catch 9 trout… we fished until 4:00am and called it quits…All in all the night trips have done really well and producing good numbers as well as quality fish likewise. I still have some days open for the next full to half moon so lets go, we are finallly getting those higher tides back and will be bringing some awesome fishing. This morning, 8-16-09 , I ran a daylight trip with just myslef and a good friend until about 9:00 am this morning. We got into the fish pretty quick throwing She-Dogs over sandy grass flats in knee deep water, 1 hour later the fish were in the drop-offs still in the grass but on plastics, using 1/8 oz jighead with a plum/truce sea-devil, they were loving it! We ended the morning at 9:00 am and back at home by 10:00 am with all the fish we wanted, we left them biting , and thats a hard thing for me to do! These fish are finally making consistant patterns, tides are getting back right, and fishing is getting awesome. Give me a call and lets go gettem and an enjoyable day on the bay in Matagorda or Sergeant, Tx .
