Captain Aubrey Black called in to give us an update on Baffin Bay fishing. Despite the wind, off-colored water and every thing else the weather has been throwing at them, Aubrey and crew have been bringing in solid speckled trout and redfish. Listen in for some tips on fishing around rocks, as well as some different ways to rig your soft plastic lures.
The 30″ trout have been rarer this time of year, but he has seen some solid 28″-29″ fish along with some thick redfish. Aubrey goes to soft plastics like Devil Eyes first, especially dark colors like plum, dark strawberry, rootbeer and morning glory. He also has been throwing some topwaters and Corky’s on occasion.
